L'Oreal Infallible Foundation

This is currently one of my favourite foundations, I usually use Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum (shade 52) but found that my skin needs a bit more coverage at this time of year. Having previously tried and liked the L'Oreal True Match foundation I decided to give this a try. The first thing that struck me was the texture, it's much less watery than the True Match and was easier to apply evenly and blend. I was also surprised by the scent but it smells really nice which is a bonus in my opinion! The colour match was good (I chose 120 Vanilla, which is much lighter than it looks in the photo below) for my pale winter skin, although not perfect, with my powder on top it looks very natural.

This foundation provided the medium coverage that I wanted and does have good staying power, which is great as once my make up is on in the morning I don't touch it again! I have quite an oily t-zone and am pleased to say that I haven't experienced any problems with oxidation, nor does it start to slide. Overall, a great product providing long wear as promised and a good level of coverage.

Garnier Intensive 7 Days Body Lotion

This is one of my favourite body lotions! I use the shea butter version for dry to extra-dry skin as I get really dry skin on my legs. I was originally sent this as a sample when it first launched but have since repurchased as I think it's great. The scent is nice, quite subtle and light which is good to alternate with my Soap and Glory Righteous Butter which smells amazing but can be a bit heavy if I'm not in the mood for it. Anyway, the texture is also light and not too greasy (my skin seems to drink it up!), although I tend to put this on before bed so that's not so much of an issue for me but if you prefer to moisturise in the morning, you could get dressed pretty quickly after applying this.

Now, does it actually work? Well, I'm pleased to say it does! I have found this to be more moisturising and hydrating than anything else I've tried on my legs previously and whilst the effects don't quite last a week on me, they certainly last a few days. Having said that, in the run up to summer I usually start using this more frequently, say once or twice a week, which does seem to help the effects last longer. All in all this is a great product and as I said at the start, it's a firm favourite of mine.

Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish- Rose Libertine

This is the Rimmel 60 Seconds nail polish in shade 405 Rose Libertine. This was rather difficult to apply as I found the formula to be quite thick and prone to leaving brush strokes. However, the brush is relatively wide and flat compared with other polishes which makes it easier to apply and it was definitely fast drying. I usually use a quick dry spray (Avon Nail Experts Liquid Freeze) but didn't need it with this polish.

This is two coats for full opacity with a top coat for longevity and I have to say that despite the difficulties in getting a smooth finish I was very impressed with the end result. This polish lasted for almost a whole week without chips, something I can rarely achieve as I use my hands a lot for various tasks. I have subsequently purchased more shades from the 60 Seconds range and look forward to wearing and reviewing them shortly- watch this space!

Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Greenberry

I was so excited when I saw the new Barry M Gelly shades hit the shelves in Boots! I resisted buying them all (although I have a feeling a couple more may find their way into my basket this season!) and chose Greenberry as it was the first shade that caught my eye on the display.

The photo above shows two coats (minus top coat) so you can see that it has good opaque coverage and impressive, glossy shine. However, you may also notice it starting to wear and chip, especially on my index finger, which is slightly disappointing as this photo was taken after only a couple of days wear. Longevity may be improved with the use of a top coat, but unless you have a very glossy top coat you may lose some of the gel-shine, it's swings and roundabouts! Overall, I would recommend this because the colour is so fab, a lovely rich, wearable green and it really is hi-shine!
